MOUSE
My name is Jode Sparks and I wrote and will direct this short film called “Mouse”. I was drawn to this story because it came to me in a dream. This is a silly little movie but it's also a movie about hope, being little, and getting strong enough to follow your dreams. I want to make this movie so that I can show it to my friends and send it to film festivals.
WHAT IS THIS?
Mouse is an upcoming short film about Renate, a young girl hiding from War in a cottage in the woods in the middle of the last century. She is brilliant and creative, but feels constricted by the world around her and the overbearing presence of her guardian Bernhardt.
One night, she makes a curious discovery under her bed. This discovery leads to a new friend, who helps teach her what it means to seize the day and become who you're meant to be.

We are making this movie to tell a beautiful story about a young mouse and a young woman. Principal photography will begin before the conclusion of 2025 anno domini. The money donated via this campaign will primarily be used to pay our amazing crew for their amazing labor.
